AI Speech & Audio Specialist – ASR, TTS & Voice AI (Freelance)

About the Role

Join TELUS Digital, a global AI Community, as an AI Speech & Audio Specialist. You will work remotely from Andorra la Vella, collaborating with research, product development, and data science teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate naturalness, pronunciation, rhythm, tone, and emotional expression of TTS outputs.
• Analyze and correct ASR transcriptions, identifying recognition errors, accent variations, and linguistic nuances.
• Perform professional audio editing tasks (segmentation, noise removal, silence adjustment, sound‑quality enhancement).
• Use waveform and spectrogram analysis tools to detect quality defects.
• Contribute to the creation, validation, and curation of vocal datasets for training and evaluating AI models.
• Ensure consistency, clarity, and articulation of voice recordings provided to development teams.

Required Profile

You have strong experience in audio production, applied linguistics, vocal engineering, or audio data science. Proficiency with audio editing software (Audacity, Adobe Audition, Pro Tools) and spectral analysis tools is required. You are fluent in English (native or bilingual) and possess a keen sensitivity to accent variations and cultural nuances. You are autonomous, meticulous, and able to work effectively in a remote team.
