Associate Dean for Business Development

About the role

The Associate Dean for Business Development provides strategic leadership for expanding the School’s custom, executive, and certificate education portfolio. This senior position drives growth through market intelligence, partnership development, and innovative program design.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to grow custom, executive, and certificate programs.
• Conduct market research and intelligence to identify emerging opportunities.
• Lead the creation of new business lines, global partnerships, and digital learning collaborations.
• Oversee revenue‑generating initiatives across custom B2B, executive education, and certificate pathways.
• Supervise two unit leaders responsible for business development, program operations, and client engagement.
• Collaborate with academic, marketing, enrollment, and finance teams to align mission, market opportunity, and sustainable growth.
• Identify and cultivate relationships with corporations, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and education technology providers.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in business development, preferably within higher education or professional learning.
• Strong track record of building strategic partnerships and driving revenue growth.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with academic and administrative stakeholders.
