Associate Director of Graduate Careers

About the role

The Office of Graduate Careers (OGC) at Georgetown Law seeks an Associate Director to lead comprehensive career, externship, and professional development advising for graduate students and alumni. This senior position shapes programming, manages key interview initiatives, and partners with multiple university offices.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑supervise and co‑manage the OGC Recruitment Coordinator/Manager.
• Plan, execute, and oversee the annual Taxation Interview Program and other graduate law interview events.
• Lead annual summer employer outreach and develop new job, internship, and externship opportunities for LL.M. students.
• Maintain and update career resources on the OGC website and social media platforms.
• Design, coordinate, and deliver workshops, panels, and information sessions throughout the year.
• Serve as liaison to the Office of Career Strategy, National Security Law and Tax LL.M. program directors, and the Office of Graduate and International Programs.

Required profile

• Proven experience providing career advising and professional development support to graduate law students.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage career‑related programming and employer outreach.
• Strong collaboration skills with academic and administrative units.
• Ability to oversee interview programs and coordinate large‑scale events.
