Product Engineering Lead for Keet (Remote)

About the role

Lead the engineering teams building Keet, a peer‑to‑peer messaging and video calling app, driving feature delivery at global scale. You will manage both the API and frontend squads, reporting directly to the CTO.

Key responsibilities

• Run the API and frontend teams day‑to‑day, removing blockers and ensuring steady shipping.
• Set and uphold a high engineering bar for performance, reliability, and clean API design.
• Own technical design of new features and the API surface between Keet’s core and the React app.
• Collaborate closely with deep‑tech teams on code reviews and design decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing engineers or engineering leads who ship consumer products, preferably chat, calling or social apps.
• Strong product sense with the ability to partner with product managers and shape what gets built.
• Intuition for distributed, local‑first systems (offline‑first, eventual consistency).
• Initiative, curiosity, resilience and comfort giving/receiving direct critique.

Required skills

• Deep JavaScript expertise.
• Strong React development experience.
