About the role

The Purchasing Technician will join a dynamic organization operating in the snow and mountain sector. Reporting to the Head of Purchasing, the role ensures that all goods and services required for station operations are acquired on time, balancing quality, cost, and delivery. The position works closely with internal departments and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review and prioritize purchase requests from various departments.
• Identify suppliers, request quotations, and evaluate proposals based on price, quality, service, lead‑time, guarantees and total cost.
• Create and manage purchase orders, tracking them through to receipt of goods or services.
• Handle incidents, returns and supplier claims, ensuring timely resolution.
• Support budget control and enforce purchasing procedures and authorization workflows.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Exploitation, Administration, Finance and Warehouse to meet their needs.
• Propose process improvements, especially during peak periods or urgent mountain‑operation purchases.

Required profile

• Formal education: CFGS in Administration & Finance, International Trade, Transport & Logistics, or a university degree in Business Administration or similar.
• Previous experience in purchasing, logistics, supply‑chain or supplier management, preferably in operational, tourism or mountain environments.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to manage priorities, economic judgement and analytical capability.
• Rigorous, detail‑oriented and internally service‑focused.
• Fluency in Catalan, Spanish and French; English is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
