Capital Project Intern

About the role

Join Georgetown University’s Planning and Facilities Management team as a Capital Project Intern. You will support project managers across multiple capital projects, gaining hands‑on experience in project coordination, on‑site inspections, and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Assistant Directors, Directors, Project Managers and Senior Project Managers to coordinate projects throughout their life cycle.
• Assist with on‑site inspections to evaluate architect/engineer designs and contractor performance.
• Perform special technical activities to develop solutions for complex project challenges.
• Handle administrative tasks to keep projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Support the Director of Planning and Assistant Director of Project Programming with planning and programming activities.
• Prepare reports, matrices, presentations, and code analyses for multiple concurrent projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (in progress or completed) in Project Management, Urban Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Data Analytics, Construction or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience managing concurrent initiatives, data analytics, or reporting.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite.
• Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills for interaction with faculty, staff, clients, and public agency officials.
