IT Network Support (Dispatch) - Freelance

About the role

Brilliant Computers is looking for a freelance IT Network Support technician based in Andorra la Vella. The role covers dispatch work and hands-on support for desktops, printers, laptops and other computer peripherals, including hardware repairs and desktop application troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Install technical troubleshooting and fix hardware problems on desktops, printers, laptops and other peripherals, as well as desktop applications.
• Provide smart hand support for peripheral and networking hardware such as monitors, keyboards, mice, printers, fax machines, scanners, routers, wireless routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets and multi-port data termination panels.
• Perform desk-side support and PC break/fix, including basic administration of Windows and macOS.
• Troubleshoot systems and networks using deductive reasoning, including end-user network cabling issues.
• Work from sites and from a remote team under instruction-based activities.

Required profile

• Bilingual: English and local language at B2 level.
• Excellent written and oral communication with clients and management, and good people skills.
• Ability to work with deadlines, take proactive ownership and work with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to lift and move computer equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.) is an additional advantage.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and RDP.
• Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, chipsets, memory modules and peripherals.
• Knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office 365, Active Directory, SCCM, DHCP, VPN and remote connection systems.
