Independent Talent Sourcer (Contract, Contingency)

About the role

Builders is a talent agency connecting candidates with founders and hiring managers in AI startups, covering engineering, product, design, growth, go-to-market and non-technical roles. This is a fully remote contract role open anywhere you can work legally, with no minimum hours, quotas or exclusivity, and no non-solicit clause. You can work alongside other agencies and direct placements.

Key responsibilities

• Find people open to a move in the roles you are briefed on, choosing which roles, companies and archetypes to source
• Get them to sign up through your referral link
• Screen them, introduce them to companies and run the process through to the offer
• Use one-to-one outreach; sequenced, bulk or automated outreach needs approval, and public posts about roles or companies require prior permission
• Do not source candidates from clients, and do not forward briefs to candidates

Required profile

• A network in AI and experience doing outbound work
• Willingness to build your own target list rather than receive a pre-built one
• Acceptance of being paid by outcome (sign-ups and hires) rather than by time

What we offer

• A flat fee for every person who signs up through your link and meets with a company, paid monthly
• A share of the placement fee when a referred candidate is hired, paid once the guarantee period has passed
• A path to an hourly-paid track if your sourced candidates are consistently strong
• Platform visibility of your own candidates and payouts, with no access to others' candidates
