Independent Talent Sourcer (Contract, Hourly)

About the role

Builders is a talent agency connecting people building careers in AI startups with founders and hiring managers. This is a fully remote, hourly contract role open anywhere you can work legally, with no minimum hours and no quota: you choose when and how much you work. It matches the same briefs as the contingent sourcer role, but pays for your time regardless of whether anyone signs up.

Key responsibilities

• Source candidates against live briefs on companies and roles for early-stage (seed through Series B) AI startups.
• Run outreach and get people to sign up through your referral link.
• Log what you did: who you contacted, through what channel, and who responded.
• Produce results measured by output per hour, not hours logged or a volume target.

Required profile

• Sourcers who already source for startups and can produce from the first week.
• A network they can work directly with or an AI-native way of finding people.
• Experience with the agency model, since briefs are assigned rather than chosen.
• Ability to show roles previously sourced that led to hires and a walkthrough of how one was found.
