Drill and Blast Operator – On‑site Mining Role

About the role

The Drill and Blast Operator will join a mining operation in Andorra, working full‑time on‑site to support safe and efficient rock extraction. You will be responsible for preparing, executing, and monitoring drilling and blasting activities in line with site plans and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate modern drilling equipment according to approved drill patterns.
• Load and stem blast holes, conduct pre‑blast inspections, and initiate blasts using approved initiation systems.
• Perform post‑blast inspections, record results, and maintain accurate activity logs.
• Carry out routine equipment checks, basic maintenance, and report any issues.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and site crews to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in drill and blast operations, preferably in hard‑rock environments.
• Strong understanding of mining safety protocols, risk management, and relevant regulations.
• Physical fitness to work in demanding outdoor conditions.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and eligibility to work in Andorra.
