Senior Engineering Operations Manager

About the role

Camunda, the enterprise platform for agentic orchestration, is building its own product and wants someone to own how it is built: the Product Development Process (PDP) and the automation behind it. You also build agentic processes on Camunda for the Products department's own work, using the product as customers do. The role sits between Engineering and Product Strategy and is fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Own the PDP end to end for the Core and Experience tracks: process design, stages, board hygiene, and how epics are defined and tracked.
• Align the PDP with Product Strategy so that strategy, initiatives and epics connect and both divisions trust the process.
• Fix and run the PDP automation (built on Camunda 8): source control, tests, test environment, monitoring and a shared foundation for both tracks.
• Run Camunda Products on Camunda: build agentic processes for internal product work and feed learnings back to product teams.

Required profile

• Hands-on engineering: writing code and scripts, working with GitHub, CI/CD and APIs, and debugging integrations.
• Process ownership: has designed and changed a product or engineering process in a software company with 100+ engineers.
• Cross-team influence: able to get Product, Engineering and leadership to agree on one way of working.
• Nice to have: experience with BPMN, Camunda or other workflow engines, and a background in product operations, developer experience or platform engineering.

Required skills

• Ability and/or willingness to use the product, with product, design and technical skills in one person.
• Practical AI agent experience: having built agents or agentic workflows that do real work.
• GitHub, CI/CD and API integration work.

• Competitive, location-based compensation: US $137,100 to $221,100, UK £86,100 to £141,600, Singapore S$170,300 to S$255,400, plus equity through a virtual stock option plan.
